East Sooke Regional Park: On the opposite side of the basin, this park offers world-class rugged coastal hiking (the Coast Trail is a challenging but breathtaking day hike).The Gateway to the Wild West Coast: Driving west from Grant Road sets you directly on the highway toward Jordan River (a famous local surf spot), Shirley (home to the Shirley Delicious cafe, a must-visit), and rugged provincial park beaches like French Beach, China Beach, and Mystic Beach.
